Description

Welcome to this Spectacular Chapel Square Home!

Situated on a charming cul-de-sac, this home has lovely curb appeal. Pristine landscaping compliments a flagstone walkway that is enhanced as evening approaches by an outdoor lighting system. Pride of ownership shines through as you enter and begin to experience the over $300K in renovations and upgrades. The main floor flows beautifully from one space to the next. Walls have been removed to create an open, updated feel. There is a wonderful, sunny office with the washer and dryer discretely hidden behind double closet doors. A large dining room is the perfect place to celebrate special occasions with family and friends. The kitchen renovation is the heart of this home with its huge space thoughtfully designed. Rich cabinetry, granite countertops and top of the line stainless appliances truly make this a cook’s dream! The kitchen opens to the most charming family room with its centerpiece brick hearth gas fireplace. French doors lead to the sun room with walls of windows. You cannot help but admire the stunning back yard and huge flagstone patio that surrounds the sun room. Extensive landscaping includes gorgeous stone retaining walls. The yard is very private and completely fenced. Back inside, the upper level has four large bedrooms. All bathrooms have been tastefully renovated. Windows and doors have been replaced. The owners have installed custom closets and window treatments. A wonderfully finished lower level has another full bath, a huge storage room and access to the garage. This home has been meticulously maintained with all major systems recently replaced. Chapel Square is a neighborhood of rich traditions and is located in the Woodson/Frost/Wakefield Forest school pyramid. Membership to the Wakefield Chapel Recreation Association Pool and Tennis Club conveys with the sale.

Annandale

Like the rest of Northern Virginia, Annandale is characterized by rolling hills, streams and red clay.

Annandale is bisected by Accotink Creek, which in Colonial times was a primary link for ocean-going ships carrying tobacco and other goods to the world abroad. The creek was dammed in the 1960s to create Lake Accotink, a water supply for the U.S. Army's Fort Belvoir Proving Ground located downstream near Mt. Vernon. While the proving ground has closed, Lake Accotink remains as a popular recreation area for fishing and boat rentals.

Quality of Life

Annandale boasts nearly 30 public parks, many of which are maintained by the Fairfax County Park Authority. The Fairfax Cross County Trail (FCCT) provides uninterrupted hiking, biking, running and, weather permitting, cross-country skiing for 20 miles. A handful of public and private golf courses are just a short drive away.

Mature trees and wide streets typify this suburban, commuter city. Those with a globally minded appetite don’t need to look any further. Annandale offers a diverse selection of food from around the world. Shopping opportunities abound; Annandale is centrally located to major regional malls, including Tysons Corner.

Transportation

Annandale is a commuter city. Little River Turnpike, which runs through the heart of Annandale, connects residents with several major highways: I-495, I-395 and I-95. The Dunn Loring-Merrifield and East Falls Church Metro Stations are approximately 10 to 15 minutes away by car. The area is also serviced by Metro Buses.
